British Thoracic Society Winter Meeting 2012 - 04/12/2012

The annual British Thoracic Society Winter Meeting is held in Westminster, London.

As usual, it was a thought-provoking, educational, informative series of lectures, seminars and poster presentations of the most up-to-date research.

I particularly enjoyed the practicalities of contemplating air traval for the respiratory patient (1 airline only permits you to carry on 2L of oxygen. At a flow rate of 1L per minute, thats a wonder!!) and was interested to hear of the European research leading to guidelines about gold standard management of COPD

A truly international occasion with inspirational speakers. And no disruption from heavy snow this year!
