About us

Ruth Ainley has been a Chartered Physiotherapist for over 30 years,
specialising in respiratory physiotherapy for 25 years.
She has worked at London’s prestigious institutions including St Mary’s Hospital,
Guys and St Thomas’, Royal Brompton, and privately at London Bridge,
Cromwell, and Wellington hospitals.
Ruth has extensive experience treating acutely ill patients in intensive care,
working with cardio-respiratory rehabilitation as well as managing long-term
respiratory conditions, and helping patients regain their independence at home.

Ruth is a hugely reassuring and knowledgeable practitioner. We have benefitted from her technical excellence on a number of occasions: she undertook an emergency house call for my 5 year old son’s viral induced wheeze when we couldn’t get a doctor’s appointment and was able to quickly diagnose and signpost us to A&E; my husband has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and her advice regarding practical physiotherapy tips has been invaluable. Latterly, I have referred a number of people to her website and twitter account because of her work with long covid. Thoroughly recommended.

Ruth recently treated me to help me with my Long Covid symptoms. She is kind, patient and knowledgable. I was able to see her at both her Harley Street clinic and she also came to my home when I was not able to travel. I would highly recommend her
